Buffy was idly looking through a book, when Giles came out of his office. They were alone in the library, waiting for the rest of the Scooby Gang to arrive. She was thinking about a party she wouldn't be able to attend, again, when she realised that Giles was speaking.

"...all we know is that the fate of the world...did you eat all the jellies?" She looked up, a mischivious smile on her face.

"Yes, but I have some at home. " She started, getting up and moving in front of her Watcher. "What do you say we go over there..." she trailed her fingers along his side enjoying the shiver that the action produced in Giles, "and I can lick it off your bare chest?" She saw his eyes glinting with an emotion she had often seen in the last few weeks and felt an answering heat in the pit of her belly. Giles smiled in a predatory way and his arm wound itself around her waist. He pulled her up against him hard and lowered his lips to hers. As they were about to make contact, Willow shook Buffy and said,

"Hey, we're supposed to be in research-mode, not sleep-mode." Buffy rubbed her eyes as she realised that it was all a dream.

"Sorry," she mumbled, her mind still reeling from the emotions that the dream evoked. She picked up a book and was idly looking through it when she realised that Giles was saying something and that Willow was gone.

"...all we know is that the fate of the world...did you eat all the jellies?" She was frozen with indecision for the smallest of moments, and then Buffy looked up, a mischivious smile on her face. "Yes, but I have some at home..."
