"Okay you two...smile!" Willow said, aiming
the camera at the couple.
Riley held onto Buffy, embracing her with strong arms, and
smiling broadly. He couldn't remember the last time he was
truly happy. But today was going to be one to
remember. It was the perfect day...the sun was shining, the
food was great, and he was with the girl of his dreams.
Buffy, looked at the camera and sighed. She liked Riley,
she really did. He was kind, sweet, and defiantly good
looking, but there was someone else on her mind today ...someone
she never thought about before. At least, in the way she
did last night...

"So, Buffy," Willow asked, stretching on one of the
many wooden benches that lined the college campus, "are you
pysched for the Delta Phi picnic, tomorrow?"
"I don't know," Buffy sighed, trying to shade herself
from the glaring sun, "A picnic? Sounds so...not
fraternity. I mean, if you said, Delta Phi Beer
Bash...."
"What is it with you and beer?" Willow scolded,
"Remember...picnics good....beer bad."
"But picnics have ants." she argued.
"And beer has...well....bad things. And besides the
last thing you need is to be turned into another
'Cave-Buffy'."
Buffy gave her friend a harsh look of mock annoyance,
"Wills..."
"Riley's gonna be there."
"Riley?"
"Yep."
Buffy thought for a moment, "I'm so there." She jumped
up off the bench, "But first...remember that necklace
thingie I found last night when I was patrolling?"
"Yeah," Willow nodded, "The one with the pretty
amethyst in it."
"Well, I want to show it to Giles."
"Do you think it means anything?" the young witch
asked.
"Don't know," Buffy said, as she walked away, "But
I'm sure Giles will."

Giles sprang up from the couch the moment he heard the
knocking. He walked over and opened the door, already
knowing who was on the other side. "Buffy, how good to
see you. Um, is there anything wrong?"
Buffy bounced into the apartment, "Well, kinda..." she
paused as she noticed the television, "Are you watching
T.V.?" She crouched by the small screen, "Jerry
Springer?! Giles, you need to get out."
"I just turned it on, and this is what happened to be
showing...and, look, I don't have to explain my viewing habits
to..."
Buffy smiled. This round of banter belonged to her,
"Don't worry Giles...you're secret is safe with me."
Giles sighed, sat down on the couch, and rolled his eyes,
"Oh, I'm so relieved to hear that. Now, what can I
help you with?"
"Here," she said, handing him the small pendant.
Giles held it in his hands, twirling the jewel around in his
fingers, "Okay, either you are expressing you're undying
love for me....or you found this last night on patrol."
"I would go with the patrol thing," Buffy nodded.
'Although,' she thought to herself, looking at him dressed in a
maroon sweater, and blue jeans, 'if you keep dressing like
this...'
"Interesting," Giles said, examining the backing of the
pendant closely.
"You found something? Some evil,
the-world-is-coming-to-an-end, something?"
Giles smiled and handed the pendant back to her, "Well, that
would depend if you were there one who lost this."
"Huh?"
Giles placed his hand on hers, turning the pendant over, "It
appears that either a G or B lost this."
A small shudder went through Buffy's body, as he continued to
hold her hand. She shook it off and smiled shyly,
"Wow. B loves G...weird, huh?"
"Strange?" Giles asked, withdrawing his hand the moment
he realized he had been holding it, "How?"
Buffy looked at the pendant, "B loves G. Come on
Giles...our initials."
Giles smiled, "Buffy, there are many people out there that
share our initials..."
"Well, yeah...but don't you think it's just strange?"
Giles stood up and went to the kitchen, "Buffy, we live on
the Hellmouth. Strange, around here is the norm."
Buffy got up and followed him, "Giles?"
"Mmmm?"
"Do you...well...ever think..."
Giles began pouring tea for them, "Think what?"
"What it would be like....if we....you know....made
love."
It was at that point the hot tea poured out of the pot....down
his pants. "Ouch! Damn!"
"Oh god, Giles!" Buffy squeeked, reaching for a wet
towel, "I'm sorry. I don't know what I was
thinking....I feel like such an idiot. Yup...Buffy the
Idiot..."
"Buffy."
"I can't believe I even said that," she moaned, trying
to wipe the hot tea off his trousers, which only made things
worse.
"Buffy."
"I mean, I inserted my foot so far in my mouth..."
"Buffy!"
"Yes?"
Giles took the rag away from her, "The towel isn't helping
matters."
Buffy looked down and realized what he meant by the remark.
In her efforts to repair her mistake...she had inadvertently
caused another one. "Giles," she grinned, looking
at the growing bulge in his jeans, "So, you *do* wonder
about it."
"Buffy," he said, hoarsely, "you can't even begin
to imagine..."
He reached down and kissed her gently on her lips. It was
their first kiss, and it was everything she had secretly hoped
for. It was tender, and warm...and full of emotion.
Buffy didn't want it to end, but after a moment, Giles pulled
away. There was a glint in his eye as he smiled warmly at
her. Without saying a word, he brushed a strand of hair
from her face, and planted a soft kiss on her neck. Her
skin tingled from his touch, sending warm impulses traveling down
her body, settling in her stomach.
She wriggled in Giles' arms and sighed, "Giles.."
"Shhh..." he hushed, backing her up against the wall,
and returning his lips to hers.
Buffy reached her hand down and began to massage his bulging
jeans. Giles gave a soft groan, as he moved his pelvis
against her hand. The Watcher began to carefully unbutton
her blouse, and quickly removed her bra. Meanwhile, Buffy
had unclasped his jeans, and slipped her hand between the
cotton. Between the constriction of the jeans, and the feel
of Buffy's soft hand on his member, Giles couldn't stand it
anymore. He scooped her up in his arms, and began to head
upstairs to his bedroom.
Once there, they finished undressing each other, never taking
their lips from one another. They made love with all the
tenderness of the first time. Giles was strong and yet
gentle, keeping Buffy in a constant state of arousal. He
enjoyed every moment of pleasure he gave her.
Buffy was yearning for more. She desperately wanted him to
be inside her, "Giles, please...I need you." She
begged.
Giles, moaned and slipped inside her, filling her
completely. They moved together as one, creating music with
their passion. It was a joy that neither one had
experienced in a long time, and for that moment in time, it was
wonderful.
And when they came, it was also together, in a fiery explosion of
love.

"That picture was great," Willow smiled.
Riley looked down at Buffy and tilted his head slightly,
"Buffy, are you okay? You seem a bit distracted."
Buffy smiled at him, knowing that their relationship would never
be what he wanted, because of her newly discovered love for a
certain Englishman. "Oh yeah, I'm fine," she
said, trying to sound convincing, "I just have a lot of
things I have to do. Can I talk to you tomorrow?"
"Yeah sure," he replied, "The picnic's breaking up
anyway. I was just hoping we could hang out
afterwards."
"I know....but there's someplace I have to go," she
explained, "I'll see you tomorrow."
******
Giles answered the door, even before Buffy knocked, "Hello
Buffy," he smiled, "How was the picnic?"
Buffy slipped passed him and sighed, "I had fun," she
admitted, "But I couldn't stop thinking about you."
"Well, if it's any consolation," he grinned, "You
were the only thought on my mind today as well."
"Really?"
"Oh yes," he answered her, taking a small box off the
end table, "I have something for you. I think you'll
like it."
"Oooo," she smiled like a child, "A
gift." She unwrapped the green and silver paper and
opened the box. Inside was the very same pendant she had
found on her patrol two nights earlier, "It's the
pendant."
"Yes it is," Giles embraced her from behind, "But
turn it around."
When she did, she gasped. Written on the back, was Buffy
Loves Giles. "You had them fill it in?" She
turned around in his arms and kissed him, "That's so
sweet. Thank you."
"Well," he said, kissing her back, "I thought it
would be nice to give the two initials...names. And I can't
think of two names more deserving then ours."
Buffy laughed, as he picked her up in his arms, "Neither can
I."
